Ski hill opens tomorrow and it is snowing again!

Another 10cms today and the mountain opens tomorrow!

Opening Early!!!

Fernie Alpine Resort is opening early! Opening for Saturday Nov 27th & 28th! The mountain will be closed for the week and then reopen for the winter on Dec 4th.

Plowing Snow Fernie Style!

So this is the way it is done in Fernie! First they plow down both sides and create a massive snowbank in the middle of the road and then usually by the end of the day they come back and scoop the snow into trucks and cart it away. Not great if you need to make a turn off the main street but still my favorite scene!

Wow, back to the good old days! For those of you new to Fernie, this place used to be called Snow Valley! It became Fernie Alpine Resort in 1997. Let it snow!

Woke up to a fresh 15 cms in town today!

Some pics taken at 9am! Up to around the 30cm mark now and it is still snowing!!!

We have a son!

Lilydog has been sick but is doing fantastic and will be on the slopes again this winter to serve and protect!
